A Mother’s Story of Faith, Strength, and Hope – Joyce from Ghana
There is a mother whose journey has been marked by challenges, tears, faith, and unwavering love.
Her first child, Makafui, was born with multiple special needs and medical conditions (with severe skin peeling that has not been seen before), making it impossible for the child to do many things independently. The road has not been easy. Many people turned away, some neglected her, others rejected her, and many abandoned her when she needed support the most.
Yet through it all, she remained standing with her husband.
By the grace of Almighty God, she continues to care for her precious child with all the strength she can find, while also caring for her stepson, who happens to be her husband’s son. Her husband was married before but lost his first wife. Her husband has been a great source of support, standing by her side and doing his best for the family. However, the emotional weight, stress, and moments of depression sometimes cast a shadow over their home and marriage.
As they were already carrying the responsibility of caring for a special-needs child, they made plans for their future. However, despite family planning measures, the unexpected happened, and the woman became pregnant again.
The news was overwhelming.
Many questioned how a family already carrying such a heavy responsibility could manage another child. Yet even in the midst of uncertainty, fear, and exhaustion, this mother chose faith over despair. She refused to give up. Day after day, she continued to trust God, sharing her story, seeking help, and believing that one day her testimony would change.
One of the greatest struggles facing this family today is accommodation and financial stability. Despite these challenges, her hope remains alive. She believes that God sees every tear, hears every prayer, and knows every burden she carries.
Today, I ask everyone who reads this story to remember this family in your prayers. If God places it upon your heart to support them in any way, may you become an answer to their prayers.

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for sustaining this family through every trial and every season of hardship. You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who never abandons His children.
Lord, touch the hearts of everyone who reads or hears this story. Fill them with compassion and kindness. Open doors of provision, favour, accommodation, and financial breakthrough for this family. Strengthen this mother, bless her husband, protect their children, and surround them with people who genuinely care.
May every tear be turned into joy, every burden be lifted, and every prayer be answered according to Your perfect will. And come through for every struggling home also.
