Fundraising for Learning
Please help us to build and equip empowerment centres in remote villages in Uganda enabling all children have access to learning.
Generous established God’s Grace International Christian Ministry (GGICM) in 2008. It is her passion to make sure every child is empowered to achieve in their life. GGICM is a non-governmental organisation which means the parents have to pay for the children to attend, there is no help from the government.
Generous has been running GGICM school in Western Uganda since 2009. Recently, she has been approached by other villages in Uganda to help them create their own empowerment centre where not just the children can learn but everyone in the community can come to learn new skills. She has teamed up with Shebear Empowerment to give her guidance and support to achieve her dreams.
In Acii, a village in Northern Uganda, the children need to walk several hours to get to a government school and the young children are unable to make this trip.
They are currently using the church hall to run their learning activities, however this is too small so land needs to be bought and a centre built. They have few learning resources and their teacher, Charles is only available a few hours in the morning as he teaches in a government school too.
We want to raise money to set up and equip a centre in a village. It costs the following which is an approximate at the current UK exchange rate. Any money left over will go towards paying for students who’s parents cannot afford the fees and/or be saved to fund other centres.
